Babo Teahouse in Jersey City

This place is good but very poor service. The cashier lack of responsibility, they dont wear any gloves before serving any food they use same hands everywhere. Total gross Very poor service doesn't recommend at all.

I love their ice cream and the food is good. The food does take a while usually spend 20 to 30 mins waiting on food but the scenary is nice. Good music too.

I love this place. It is so underrated! The dumplings, wings and gelato are really good. When you get the bubble tea ask for less sugar.

The staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. They messed up my order, served terrible tea and asked me to “understand their predicament” when I asked them to please correct the order. Never visiting this place again. 0 stars.

Today, I ordered a Large Slush Thai Iced Tea with Tapioca. I really like it! It's smooth and silky like an almost melted ice cream. I forgot to mention to adjust the sweetness. If they can adjust the sweetness I would recommend maybe adjust it to 75%. I had tapioca a couple of years ago I didn't really like it. The reason why I rarely go here is because I didn't like the tapioca. The quality was not really good. I got tapioca on my drink today and I can tell that the quality is definitely better.I think the drink is a little bit pricey for $6.15.Will I go back? Yes, however not anytime soon. I'm glad I have another option in case I'm craving for some milk tea.

I go here every time I visit my friends in Jersey. The ice cream here is really good, can't wait to visit again.

Generous servings of gelato, chicken and waffles is okay (not amazing), Bubble tea is pretty good.

Nice place for bubble tea, tasty eats & gelato, I love the spiced chai iced milk tea. Friendly and kind staff, efficient and super fast service. There's currently scaffolding outside the building which makes it look like it's not open but it is.

Drove 30 min to find out they close 30 minutes before they are suppose to. That shows how lazy the works just are. The owner should consider hiring new employees.

This place is awesome. We always go here when we visit our friends in the apartment building above. The bubble tea can be made without dairy which is good for me! I can't have dairy so it's nice to have bubble tea when I normally can't! The ramen is soooo good, And my husband loves the Thai chicken?? They also gave gelato that is dairy free every so often. I also get steamed buns from here but I don't know if they're fresh or frozen. Either way they're prepared the correct way and are very tasty.

Loved this cute little place. We tried the passion fruit bubble tea and sunset. Both were amazing. We also got the dumplings: loved chicken teriyaki dumplings, I didn't like the chicken and basil ones too much. But definitely it's a must try for the chicken teriyaki dumplings

Agree with the last review. What an absolute disgrace to close 30 minutes early. We tried to get there earlier, but there was road construction and our gps does not work. Still managed to get there sometime before they closed and yet and still they were closed early with locked doors and cleaning up? This is what happens when you have high school kids running your business. A business should close when it's STATED to close. What a joke.

Nice little bubble tea place. Good boba. Delicious Asian food (including some Indian food) and ice cream. Right by the beautiful Newport waterfront.

I really really really wanted to like this place. You would think a place touting itself as a teahouse would have great tea. However, this was not the case. The bubble tea was watery, lacked flavor, and very little boba balls compared to other places. Drank two strawfuls and chucked the rest out. This place sells food too which I have not tried.On a positive note, this place is located in a very nice area of Newport JC.

Great prices! There is some food and gelato/ice cream too! The decor is super cute with a wall full of toy dispensers. Staff is excellent every time. There’s free WiFi too! Always try to stop by when I’m in jersey city.

My bubble tea was gross and watery. The cashier made zero effort to fix it despite the fact that I was complaining loudly for ten minutes straight. So not only is the bubble tea bad but the customer service is too. Sad.

Great taro bubble tea

This place has amazing dumplings! I can seriously house two orders by myself. plus, its super trendy inside!!!

This is one of the better bubble tea places in the area. A lot of places don't do the bubbles right, but Babo is pretty good (even though they don't soak them in a honey solution as they're supposed to be soaked, but that's ok if you don't want the extra sweetness). Taro slush and Thai iced tea slush are my favorites.

Got a regular milk tea with pudding during tail end lunch break. The pudding tasted stale.. metallic taste. Place has changed...

Decent, a bit loud, good alternative to Starbucks across street. Cash only under $5 which is kinda annoying but that's the norm with boba places.Ordered something with green tea and coconut in it. They actually put decent amount of green tea powder and not a lot of sugar by default, I only asked for less ice, which is great. At least, for that drink I liked it the way it was made, slightly bitter with the undernote of coconut and the fat in coconut offsetting the harsh taste of pure green tea.
